Lowball Offers Don’t Usually Work

Lately, we have seen a rash of lowball offers. Occasionally, Sellers will accept low offers, but more often not, they won’t. Realistically, Sellers have no hope of accepting low offers because they are unable to do so unless they were to petition for a short sale. (See my posts about short sales–not a very quick process!) From the buyer viewpoint, it is great to attempt to purchase a home under market value, but frankly, the good homes don’t sell for under market value.
