Tax Credits fuel Indianapolis Home Sales

The Indianapolis Star reported this morning that, according to the IRS, 39,311 Hoosiers have filed for the REAL ESTATE TAX CREDT since April 2008, amounting to some $269 Million in money getting pumped back into the Indiana economy in one way or another–that is a nice stimulus for what was otherwise an ailing economy. The Star also said the The 39,311 buyers receiving the credit accounted for 32% of the homes sold during that time period. Nationwide, some 2,000,000 buyers filed for a tax credit, according to CNN, and a total of $12.6 billion!
